Male, Masculine, Masculinity…simple right? Not at all. Maybe in your mind you have an opinion about what these terms mean in the modern world, but since you don’t live alone on an island you have to deal with how the rest of society feels as well and society is confused.
When we speak of men, women and relationships we now take into consideration sex, gender and orientation. Simply put sex is your physical self, gender is who you see yourself as and orientation has to do with who you are attracted to. Perhaps our world never was binary, but now we are talking about it openly and definitions that once seemed clear are no longer certain.
What does seem certain is our hate of being alone. People want a life partner. How men stay happy in a partnership and how partners stay happy with men has never been more challenging. We are in one of the most turbulent periods of time in the history of relationships.
Love it or hate it, modern society continues to evolve and won’t ever stop. While the revolution of gender identity is marching forward, the majority of men in America continue to be male, masculine and heterosexual. I think it is important to note that I identify in this fashion and write this book from that perspective. Are there men who identify in many other groups? Absolutely, but this book is drawn from my experience and is focussed on this group and their path forward. CLICK HERE FOR MORE
